Hamilton Kalipuja Committee is a non-profit socio-cultural, religious and spiritual organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of Bangalees globally — rooted here in Hamilton, Ontario, and open to everyone who wishes to celebrate with us.
সবাইকে সপরিবার সবান্ধব আমন্ত্রণ। Everyone is invited — with family and friends.
What we celebrate
Sri Sri Kali Puja — every autumn, on the new moon of Kartik. An evening of prayers, devotion and community to seek Maa Kali's blessings for peace, strength and prosperity.
Basanti Puja — Durga Puja in spring, as it was first celebrated. Maa Durga is welcomed home with puja, anjali, bhog and an evening of songs. April 2027 will be our twentieth.
How it comes together
Every puja is run by volunteers. Before each one the committee meets to share out the work — the puja arrangements, the sari and dhoti, the priest and rituals, the bazaar, the fruit prasad, the khichuri bhog for a full hall, and the cultural programme. If you would like to lend a hand, the Volunteer section on our home page lists every job still needing help.
Everyone is welcome
There is no entry fee for our pujas.
Join our free mailing list on the home page to hear first about every puja.
Donations of any size keep the pujas going, and every one is receipted.
Where we meet
Our Kali Puja 2026 is at Hamilton Hindu Samaj, 6297 Twenty Rd E, Hannon, ON L0R 1P0.
